Best Beaches in Torquay & South Devon (Top 5
"A beautiful sandy beach which stretches as far as the eye can see!. Whether you're enjoying the sights of the passing steam train just behind the beach, looking for a relaxing day out after visting Splashdown Quaywest, or simply looking to dig out the bucket and spade and take to the sand, Goodrington is a fabulous choice. Dogs are also welcome on Goodrington Sands North, though are not allowed on the South section."
"Beach huts, deck chairs and sun beds can be hired as can pedaloes. Plenty of kiosks for ice creams and a drink. Sit outside of the Inn on the Quay, admire the view and have a long cooling drink."
"This is our favourite beach in Paignton as it has something for everyone:. There’s amusements and great views of the steam trains running along Dartmouth Steam Railway at the south end"
"No proper list of things to do in Paignton would be complete without mention of the local beach!. Aside from the obvious joys of having clean sand and blue water by which to while away those hot summer hours, Paignton Beach is dotted with several points of interest very much worth exploring. While each of them undoubtedly deserves their own subheading, for the sake of brevity I’ve compiled a small list of a few highlights here:"
"Much like Goodrington Sands, Broadsands is shallow and safe for paddling. There’s a promenade here with a couple of cafes and a large area of park behind. Dogs are allowed between October and April."

The beaches below are some of the most spectacular and well-known but there are plenty of others to choose from!. We are happy to provide you with a map and a few tips for finding a quiet cove or the best place for rock-pooling with the kids."
"This sandy beach is located just outside Torquay’s shopping centre, being part of the English Riviera; it lives up to its name with some beautiful views. Being so close to the town centre, it is within easy reach of anyone staying in Torquay, just half an hour walk from the hotel, with a very easy slope down to the sand & being served by local cafes & shops. This is the main beach for Torquay, so is served well by the 12 bus."
