The best restaurants with a view in Plymouth
"Once rated Plymouth's best fry-up, back in 2017, Jasmins on Plympton Ridgeway has some stellar reviews on TripAdvisor. Jasmins is a small, modest venue but with the heartiest of full-English breakfasts that even the 1300s gentry would be proud of, according to a PlymouthLive report from 2017. Don't let an old review do the talking though, because one reviewer wrote in December 2020 that they loved a full English there, and were very much missing it in lockdown."
"Described as 'Plympton's best-kept secret', this licensed cafe on the Ridgeway sells all-day breakfasts, light bites, main meals, jacket potatoes and salads. Bargain-hunting foodies love: The reasonable prices, delicious food and garden area. Click here for directions and visitor reviews."
"This sweet and welcoming café which sits in the centre of the popular Ridgeway, offers fantastic home-cooked food and a wonderful terrace garden to sit out in when the weather is good. Click here for booking details and visitor reviews."
"Located on Plymouth's Barbican, Monty's serves up breakfast, brunch, gourmet coffee and its core menu boasts fresh local food bought in daily. They even pull in fish from the fish market over the road. A licensed cafe, you can visit for a tipple, or just an afternoon tea."
"Located on the Barbican, Plymouth’s Boston Tea Party is the first place to ban single use cups, so make sure you bring your own reusable cup, or you can loan one when you get there. https://www.instagram.com/p/B4b-Jh2nJpf/. The reason I mention this place is because as I said earlier I do love a cream tea and the scones here are ginormous and freshly baked."

"One of the new kids on the block, you’ll find Kawaffle in Plymouth Market, selling a scrumptious range of bubble and lolly waffles with toppings. Go for the Choc-a-Bloc which features Nutella, Kinder chocolate, chunky chocolate ice cream, whipped cream, chocolate sauce – and a Twirl on top!. View this post on Instagram"
"Sutawee Kaenta, who came to Plymouth when she was 17, decided to bring Hong Kong street food to Plymouth and has been inundated with customers wanting to try something from the Bubbles Bar waffles menu. Bubbles Bar, situated within Zaab on New Street, became popular in the summer months after it was recommended on the Plymouth Gossip Girls Facebook page. Each waffle has a unique name such as 'Mr Bear' or 'The Love' and there is plenty of opportunity to customise your own."
"When Sutawee Kaenta decided to bring Hong Kong street food to Plymouth, she never expected it to become so popular. She arrived from Thailand when she was 17 and after growing tired of working for other people she decided to do something for herself. If you don't know what bubble waffles are, do what Sutawee did and have a Google."
"Situated on the Barbican harbourside, this pub and restaurant offers alfresco dining under giant umbrellas with beautiful views across the harbour. Sightseers love: The amazing views, great food and relaxed atmosphere. Click here for directions and visitor reviews."
"Stepping away from the city centre, Southway Chinese offers delivery and has plenty of regular customers that cannot praise it enough. People have said the food is great tasting and delivery times are often speedy. Where to find them: 347 Southway Drive, PL6 6QR"
