"In at number seven on TripAdvisor is Valenti's Gelato Venue. Gelato Venue by Valenti's is a traditional Ice cream Parlour offering artisan gelato, sundaes, coffee, shakes and more to takeaway. Valenti's have been making 'seriously creamy ice cream' since 1912 when Antonio Valente and his son Carlo travelled from Italy to establish their shop."
"01/06/2021: Read a lot about this place so turned up on a Tuesday at 8am and we were the first inside.Really friendly chap guided us through what the process was and showed us to our table.A couple of hiccups with a non functioning toaster and a tripped ice cream machine, both fixed and the chap was super apologetic (it happens!)Cooked breakfast was really tasty, my 7 year old had the waffles and it was all really good!"
"Nando’s at Princesshay has a small outdoor area for diners, but if you’re not lucky enough to get a table, why not order your meal for takeout instead?. In fact, we think a PERi-PERi picnic in the park sounds pretty special!. Simply order for click and collect, roll out the blanket and invite a few friends to join you!"
"Under ten miles from Plymouth on the southern boundary of the Dartmoor National Park, Dartmoor Zoo is a day out that will go down well with younger members of the family. The park was the inspiration for the 2011 movie We Bought a Zoo, starring Matt Damon and Scarlett Johansson, based on the mishaps suffered by the current owners who purchased the attraction in 2006. Among the 72 mammal species are Amur tigers, African lions, jaguars, lynes, Iberian and grey wolves, short-clawed otters, zebras and wallabies."
"This innovative, 32-hectare zoo is by far and away Paignton's top draw. Spacious enclosures recreate habitats from savannah and wetland to tropical forest and desert. Highlights include the orangutan island, a glass-walled big-cat enclosure and a lemur wood, where you walk over a plank suspension bridge as the primates leap around the trees. Then there's the crocodile swamp with pathways winding over and beside Nile, Cuban and saltwater crocs. Joint tickets also cover the Living Coasts seabird centre."
"Paignton Zoo is home to over 2,500 animals and is a well-loved attraction. From lions, gorillas, giraffes and more, this zoo is undoubtedly a fabulous day out. There is the opportunity to attend feeding times and talks, so you can get up close and personal with the fascinating creatures."

"Situated in Cecil Road, Kirkham House is owned by English Heritage. Not a bad place to be on a hot day as the house seems to remain cool in the summer. Kirkham is a medieval house built probably in the fourteenth century."
