A vegan guide to Exeter: Best places for vegan food
"The South Devon coast stretches out in front of the Imperial Hotel Torquay, a mid-century-style building that belies its history as a hangout for well-heeled Victorians. This heritage is celebrated in the form of marble floors, towering four-poster beds and gilded chandeliers, while its clifftop position offers unspoilt views of the bay – best enjoyed from the comfort of the front-facing rooms or the ornately decorated Regatta Restaurant’s outdoor terrace. The outdoor pool, which is shrouded by European black pine trees, feels like the South of France – when the weather plays ball."
"Built in 1866 The Imperial Torquay is a Mediterranean style resort perched on a cliff top overlooking Torbay. The The Imperial Torquay has breathtaking views of the English Riviera. From the luxury of the hotel you can watch the yachts sail by and the sun set on this stunning stretch of coastline."
" Torquay’s harbour and marina provide the backdrop, and wonderful views add to the pleasure of dining at the evenings-only Regatta Restaurant, wh ..."

"Mango’s is a dog friendly, independent cafe serving brunch dishes like Eggs Benedict (Two soft poached eggs served with your choice of Wiltshire ham, mushroom or salmon on a toasted muffin with hollandaise sauce), Chorizo Shakshuka (Two eggs, poached in a rich tomato sauce with onions, garlic, red peppers, butter beans and chorizo. Topped with feta and served with warm bread for dipping!), Smashed Avocado (A firm favourite! Smashed avocado served on toasted sourdough topped with feta, cherry tomatoes, fresh chilli and coriander) and Cinnamon Toast (Granary toast topped with cinnamon butter and served with red berries, sliced banana and cream)."
"Whilst reviewing coffee around the Quayside I thought I would mention one of my favourite spots over the other side of the river for sitting and watching the world go by. There is always a great atmosphere down at the Quay, no matter what day of the week it is and I just love the location of Mango’s Café. It did help that my most recent visit to Mango’s was on one of those glorious sunny days where the temperature was in the early twenties so I was able to sit outside overlooking the river and the rest of the quay with an iced latte in hand."
"Mango’s has an impressive range of dishes served until midday - ideal for brunch. You’ll find a tempting range of fry-ups that are actually grilled or baked. Choose from Spanish Beans, Smashed Avocado, sandwiches, Bircher muesli, a variety of egg-based dishes, croissants, toast and teacakes."
"Venture down the cobbled Gandy Street and unwind in this unique public house, full of character and offering a warm welcome. Enjoy a wide selection of local real ales, lagers and wines and a stylish cocktail bar. John Gandys boasts Exeter’s best weekend party bar and for those looking for an alternative to the ‘clubs’ – a team of mixologists, late night openings on Friday and Saturday and great music create a place to come and have fun, 7 nights a week."
"A post shared by Michael Lee (@yekim_mikey) on Jul 7, 2019 at 12:25am PDT. One of the best things about John Gandys is their live music night. Living up to their reputation as Exeter’s premier live music venue, they host popular Friday night shows featuring a variety of bands from funk to rock, battle of the bands competitions and open mic nights that see new music performances."
