"26/05/2021: Just out of lockdown I wanted good food and a great vibe. Got this in masses here. Staff super friendly and attentive, amazing burger and tacos, the sticky toffee pudding was one of the best I've tasted in a long time."
"This rustic restaurant has its own smokehouse and a commitment to fresh, local Cornish produce. The Cornish Barn’s lunch menu is deliciously simple, featuring creative burgers and hearty salads."
"Looming up in the middle of Mount's Bay and connected to the mainland at Marazion via a cobbled causeway, this abbey-crowned island is an unforgettable sight, and one of Cornwall's most iconic images. Initially a Benedictine monastery, and later the seat of the St Aubyn family, it's a must-visit. You can catch the ferry (adult/child £2/1) from Marazion at high tide, but it's worth arriving at low tide so you can walk across the causeway, as pilgrims did centuries ago."
"St Michael’s Mount – Accessible by a man made causeway, the Mount (as the locals call it) is a tidal island just off the coast that is home to a small population of about 35 people. On your visit, explore the small village and head to the castle at the summit for spectacular views."
"Today’s itinerary could include visits to: St Michael’s Mount | Penzance | Minack Theatre | Porthcurno | Botallack | St Ives Click To Learn More About Day 5"
"Grandly located at the head of the Fal estuary, 4 miles south of Truro, Trelissick is one of Cornwall's most beautiful aristocratic estates, with a formal garden filled with magnolias and hydrangeas, surrounded by a huge expanse of green fields and parkland criss-crossed by trails. The grand, 19th-century neo-Palladian house has been reopened to the public, and hosts exhibitions exploring the estate's history. If you just want to explore the estate grounds, parking costs £4."
"It's a bit of a drive from Falmouth but this gorgeous kitchen garden near Constantine is well worth the detour. Rescued from dilapidation by its current owners, it's been renovated by volunteers into a delightful working garden modelled on the French 'potager'. Highlights include the 30m greenhouse and the super veggie cafe, which is very popular with lunching locals at weekends (mains £6 to £10). There's always a good selection of plants for sale, too."
"Award-winning Falmouth Art Gallery is one of the leading galleries in the South West. Family friendly with free admission, it has changing displays of some of the best of British art and a shop with affordable gifts from Cornwall's leading ceramicists, printmakers and jewellers. Falmouth Art Gallery runs a lively exhibitions programme featuring a wide range of work as well as changing displays of paintings from its nationally important art collection."
"The Falmouth Art Gallery collection includes masterpieces by Thomas Gainsborough and Henry Scott Tuke. The gallery also has an impressive photography collection including work by Lee Miller."
"Home to a vast collection of Newlyn School art, Penlee House showcases Penzance’s unique cultural heritage. In addition to many permanent galleries, there’s an ongoing exhibition programme, with 2016 including work by JMW Turner, Alfred Wallis and Wilhelmina Barnes-Graham."
