Top things to do in East Sussex
"The Royal Pavilion is the city’s must-see attraction. The glittering party pad and palace of Prince George, later Prince Regent and then King George IV, it’s one of the most opulent buildings in England, and certainly the finest example of early 19th-century chinoiserie anywhere in Europe. It’s an apt symbol of Brighton’s reputation for decadence. An unimpressed Queen Victoria called the Royal Pavilion ‘a strange, odd Chinese place’, but for visitors to Brighton it’s an unmissable chunk of Sussex history."

15 things to do in Brighton with kids
"One of the symbols of Brighton, this flamboyantly iconic royal building is actually great for visiting with kids. You can buy a kids’ trail for a small fee (50p when we visited) spotting some of the animals dotted throughout the opulent rooms, or just amuse yourself finding all the dragons at the Royal Pavilion. And staff will actively encourage you to have a lie down on the carpet in the music room to see the chandelier rising to the gold patterned ceiling."

On a clear day you can see for miles along the coast, with the city’s the best views since the Brighton ferris wheel was closed."

Whilst still a favourite space to spread out during the popular summer months (where Southsea gets full very quickly), this is where it starts to get a little more rugged. Scattered across the shingle you'll find gorse and scrub - a great place for playing hide and seek with the little ones!"

"Blakers park has been available to the public for almost 130 years, offering plenty of wildlife and a great place to walk the dog. If you visited during the 90’s, you could be forgiven for thinking North West section looked a bit rundown, however it has now been converted into a bluebell woods thanks to a group of volunteers, which look amazing in the Spring. As with many of the other parks in Brighton, this one also contains 2 tennis courts, however they are reserved for club games on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings."

15 Best Things to Do in Brighton (East Sussex, England
"Back when Brighton was the tiny fishing village of Brighthelmstone, Old Steine Gardens was the village green with a stream running through it. Before long the gardens became a recreation area in a growing resort, and was incorporated the eastern lawns of William IV’s Royal Pavilion. Now it’s a green space in touching distance of all Brighton’s big landmarks, neighbourhoods and cultural venues: Moments south is the Palace Pier, to the east is Kemptown, The Lanes are just to the west, while Royal Pavilion is right next door."

Parks in Brighton - Reviewing All Of The Best Parks & There Facilities
"While this is a very beautiful area, completed with the large fountain in the middle, it is tainted by being very small and surrounded by cars, meaning you never truly feel like you’ve left the pollution and madness of the city centre. The flowers are well looked after and are a key aspect of this park, while there are a number of monuments to check out if you have time. The park is incredibly central, at the entrance to Kemptown."
