The 10 Best Cultural Restaurants In Barcelona
"This all vegan bar serves an enormous range of beers from all over the world, as well as a few vegan burgers and croissants or other cakes. The burgers are tasty if a little dry, but quite substantial. There is a piano for guests to play if they wish, but unfortunately no cats as the name might imply."
"At Cat Bar, there are no cats, but you can certainly expect a cat-themed atmosphere. This small vegan beer and burger bar offers a customizable menu, with a variety of vegan burgers, tasty patatas bravas and delicious sauces, along with a great selection of local Spanish and Catalan beers."
"The 'little champagne' of the name refers to the house cava, which is a fairly ordinary but dirt-cheap number, served in coupe glasses to a lively clientele that blends inquisitive tourists with locals who’ve been coming here for decades. El Xampanyet is no secret, and drinkers spill out on to the street even on relatively quiet nights. But if you can squeeze in, you'll find a bright, tiled bar with traditional wineskins hanging from the ceiling and a selection of simple tapas along the bar."
"An institution in El Born, El Xampanyet has been around for over 90 years, yet it remains cosy and family-owned. This is the place for 3-euro cava and traditional tapas, and you’ll meet the entire family while at it. Still, it’s not the price that makes this one of the best trendy restaurants Barcelona – it’s the vibe."
"El Xampanyet is a rustic and authentic tapas and cava bar Barcelona owned by the same family since the 1930's. Everything a great tapas bar should be. Small, but very popular and well known with deliciou ...Read More..."
"As it is the first craft beer bar I stumbled on to I must say that this is my favorite place to enjoy a good craft beer in Barcelona. As I walked into this bar I directly noticed the cool designed ceiling which is covered in wooden sticks. The bar offers 30 beers on tap which can be found on a screen which can change per day."
"Biercab features some super stylish high-end design and about a million taps. Okay, maybe not a million, but there are around 30 to choose from. This place weighs in with a balance of beer and great food to take a rightful spot as one of the best places for craft beer in Barcelona."
"30 beer on tab simultaneously with an extensive (really extensive) beer menu where you can find lots of Spanish and Catalan beers. The place is really beautiful and you can also see on their TV screens when and which new keg is being tapped. Look at all those tabs!"
"Xixi claims to be the first gin bar in Barcelona, whether or not this is true, the bar sure has an established reputation. The quirky and awkward decor makes the place that bit more appealing with chairs and lizards attached to the wall. They also have a handful of their own infusion gins, which is definitely worth a try."
"Touché is one of the quirkiest options of this list, that’s why it’s coming in the last place. Located in the Carrer de la Marina, it´s menu combines seafood, fish and other product in an original and avant-garde cuisine, a little far from the classic fish restaurants. Honorary mention for their cocktails, prepared by the mixologist Marc López, and with an acid touch of fruits and citrus."
"Els 4 Gats, “The Four Cats” in English, is a cafe famous for being a hot spot for famous artists at the turn of the 20th century. Pablo Picasso, Antoni Gaudí, and Julio González, among others, went to the cafe located in the historical Casa Marti building built in 1896 by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. The original 4 Gats was open between 1897 and 1903, but its short life and the atmosphere it produced influenced art and literature from people who visited all the way until 1978 when it was reopened."
"Whilst twisting through the winding streets of Barri Gòtic, you might just come across the fabulous building that houses the 4 Cats restaurant. Built by Puig I Cadafalch, one of Gaudí’s contemporaries, it is famous as the place Pablo Picasso used to frequent. With an exquisite modernist interior and boho chic decor, you’ll be enchanted before the food has come."

"Bacoa have some of the tastiest burgers in Barcelona, letting diners fully customise their meal with their own personal checklist of burger styles and ingredients. And this detail isn’t lost in Bacoa’s takeaway service either!. Bringing their handmade beef (and chicken) creations right to your door, Bacoa’s number one priority remains the quality of their food; you only have to look at their slogan- we make everything by hand because we know, and hope you agree, real food tastes better– to see."
"The Spanish fast food chain Bacoa has 5 locations in Barcelona and this may well be the best hamburguesería in town. There’s a wide variety of burgers (beef, pork, chicken, vegetarian and vegan) and additional ingredients and salsas, like the home-made pickles, truffle mayonnaise, caramelized onions, and the famous sherry mustard. Ask for some patatas bravas as well and you will leave the place oh so satisfied."
"Arguably the best burger in town, Bacoa have a number of outlets across the city centre including their iconic first site, the Kiosko in El Born. The burgers can be customised to include organic beef, a brioche burger and a number of home-made sauces and pickles – although the iconic Bacoa burger is delicious straight up. You can order takeaway at the shop or online through Deliveroo."

"Recent years have seen a boom in affordable boutique hotels in Barcelona. Located on the cusp of downtown El Borne and more residential Eixample, Yurbban Passage offers the best of both worlds - a quiet spot that still has most of the city’s main attractions within easy walking distance. Rooms feature hardwood floors and warm textiles, although the real draw here is the rooftop terrace with its infinity pool and some of the best views in the city."
"Complimentary wine and cheese at 6:30 pm, wifi hotspots and bikes to borrow for the day. The best hotel in Barcelona I’ve visited. Situated in Barcelona in the Catalonia Region, 400 metres from Portal de l'Angel, Yurbban Passage Hotel boasts an outdoor pool and spa centre."
"Spa by L’Occitane is located in the 5-star Gran Hotel La Florida, so you know that you’re in for a treat. "Carrer Vallvidrera al Tibidabo 83-93, 08035 Barcelonawww.hotellaflorida.com. Located within the Hotel La Florida, it’s one of the most popular therapy centers in Barcelona. This Spa has all kind of different features: Turkish hammam, jacuzzi, steam bath and a luxurious caldarium, a hot bath that comes from times of the Roman empire."
"The final wellness centre that we would like to share with you is the Hotel Miramar Spa by L’Occitane. This tranquil space can be found in the Montjuïc Hills which makes for a nice hike after your treatment. The most spectacular feature this place has to offer is the indoor pool with a waterfall."
