Best Seafood Restaurants in Brighton
"Former Fat Duck chef Duncan Ray orders fish from local day boats that’s delivered, cooked and served on the day it’s caught; the only way to get fresher seafood is to catch it and cook it yourself. But you’re unlikely to have the sort of technical skills displayed across the five-course set menu at Little Fish Market, which might kick off with a superb Carlingford oyster served with elderflower granita and Jersey cream and continue with turbot with morels, chicken wings, leek and cabbage. The restaurant’s dedicated two-man team is completed by Rob Smith who runs the 22-seat dining room with unmatched charm, making a meal here a relaxed delight."
"As its name suggests, the restaurant’s focus is on cooking the freshest, highest-quality sustainable seafood from the British Isles: think Thai langoustines served two ways, Orkney scallops and grilled turbot. Each service has space for just 20 diners, and everyone is served a set tasting menu, which changes every four to six weeks. An accompanying wine selection is curated by Keeling and Andrew from London’s Noble Rot."
"It wouldn't be possible to list Brighton's best seafood restaurants without including Riddle and Finns, the oyster and Champagne specialists. The restaurant only has space for 40 but this makes it all the more special; perch by a marble table topped with candelabras and prepare to have all your seafood dreams come true."

Regency Restaurant is one of the best seafood restaurants in Brighton because it’s been a permanent fixture of the seafront since the 1930s. It’s one of the oldest and most popular restaurants in Brighton serving local fresh fish and seafood at exceptional value, earning it nationwide and critical acclaim."
"I’ve written before about my love of the Regency for it’s simple, no-frills approach to seafood. If you’re into all things fishy it’s also the perfect venue for a tasty meal on the cheap in informal, simplistic surroundings. Produce such as prawns and lobster are available at much cheaper prices than you’d find at other Brighton seafood establishments."
"You just love to see it when satiating your appetite beachside. Brighton Shellfish and Oyster Bar isn’t a ‘bar’ in the sense of cocktails and blokes wearing loafers with no socks, but rather a beach shack doing lots of traditional British seaside treats that any seafood lover lusts after. All shellfish is laid out and visible in tubs and on ice, and the place feels as old school as it gets."

"Good for: Oysters, Cockles, Seafood Rolls, Eating on the Beach, Lunch. Okay, maybe this one is a bit cheeky as it’s not a ‘restaurant’ per se, but it’s definitely worth a mention for those who enjoy the finer things in life. For at this unassuming little hut you can get half a dozen Carlingford Oysters for just £6.50."
"Just across from West Street, The Copper Clam is right in the heart of the action on Brighton beach. It's a very trendy restaurant that specialises in top quality seafood, and boasts some excellent views of the coast. The decor is stylish and arty - with an appropriately copper-colour bar - making this one of Brighton's most sought after restaurant destinations."
"A post shared by Eat In Brighton (@eatinbrighton) on Aug 30, 2015 at 2:55am PDT. Located just a short walk from Brighton’s center, the family run business since 1926, Bardsley’s restaurant is renowned for the high quality of its fish ‘n’ chips and friendly atmosphere. Knowing their fish and chips for four generations now, the family works hard to serve only the best."
"Brighton's best chippy isn't on the front; it's tucked away on a side street, heading out of town on London Road. Despite the unpromising location, however, its prices (and this is a theme at all the chip shops in Brighton) are steep enough to give visiting northerners vertigo: £7.20 for chips and a small haddock. And they leave the skin on."
"As you might have guessed, locally-sourced seafood is at the forefront of this bijou, beachfront restaurant. If the weather allows, sit outside for some epic views of the beach and the ocean, which will fill your nostrils with that salty sea air that will undoubtedly add to your experience. Gulp down ceviche dressed with a chilli, red onion and lime salsa, or fresh oysters."
"Just down the beach from The Copper Clam is Riddle & Finns, a champagne and oyster bar. The Brighton-based restaurant has two sites in the city - one on the beach and one in the Lanes. Riddle & Finns is a stylish bar sat on a prime slice of Brighton seafront, which offers up some very artistically-served seafood dishes."
"Found in the heart of the Brighton Lanes and run by the charismatic Brighton restaurateur, Coco Cowan, D’Arcys is one of Brighton’s premiere sea ..."
"The Church of the Holy Trinity is a Greek Orthodox church in Brighton, part of the English city of Brighton and Hove. Built in 1838 in one of Brighton's most notorious slum districts, Carlton Hill, it was an Anglican church for most of its life: dedicated to St John the Evangelist, it was used by the Anglican community until it was declared redundant in 1980. After some uncertainty about its future, it was sold to Brighton's Greek Orthodox community in 1985 and has been used as their permanent place of worship since then."
"The Flour Pot Bakery sets itself apart from other cafes thanks in large part to its artisanal baked goods, and honestly, if the idea of flakey pastries made with french butter, and sweet handcrafted fillings doesn’t make you salivate, we don’t know what will. Oh, and be sure to pick up a ciabatta loaf to take home!. Where: 40 Sydney St, Brighton BN1 4EP"
"As these artisan bakers know, the best things in life are simple. These highly-skilled dough-slingers create fresh pastries starting with just three magic ingredients: salt, water and flour. Their vegan rolls, fennel and pork sausage rolls, and almond croissants are well worth rolling out of bed for!"
"With another stunning view of West Pier and mouth-wateringly Instagrammable cakes and pastries, The Flour Pot Bakery Brighton is definitely somewhere to add to your foodie bucket list. Follow @theflourpotbakerybrighton on Instagram"
"Founded as a Victorian collector’s private museum, the Booth Museum is one of those slightly eccentric collections that the UK seems to specialise in – endless cases of birds displayed in their natural setting (complete with eagles pouncing on lambs) plus skeletons and dinosaur bones. Younger kids will probably be fascinated by it, including the two bears at the entrance, older ones might find it a bit creepier. Free to enter, although you have to walk through the shop on the way in and out."
"closed today194 Dyke Rd (1353 metres away) History Museum "Great way to spend an hour or so on a rainy Brighton day."
"If a Banksy, Hirst and Blake are what you dream of having on your wall, then Enter Gallery can help out. This gallery is one of the best-stocked commercial galleries in the southeast, and although it’s easy to walk past this unimposing, modern space as your browse the vibrant boutiques in Brighton’s North Laine, Enter Gallery is a gem. Alongside classic artists such as Andy Warhol and Peter Blake, the gallery stocks a huge range of local and international urban artists including D*Face, Shephard Fairey, Dan Baldwin, Imbue, Static and Bonnie and Clyde."
"As one of the first galleries in the UK to sell Banksy prints online, Art Republic’s reputation has always been one that seeks the most cutting edge in art and gives it centre stage. Its Brighton gallery is just the same, and is brimming with rare, limited edition pop art, graffiti and street art inspired prints and originals that would be a talking point in any home. There’s also a myriad of events and launches at the gallery, offering regulars the opportunity to mingle among artists as they browse new pieces late into the evening."
"There isn’t an inch of space wasted at Enter Gallery, one of Brighton’s biggest art showcases. It’s another supernova of vibrant colour and striking design, complete with an expert team on the floor to help you pick out the piece that would best compliment your living room."
"Proud of its status as ‘the largest artist-led arts organisation in the South East of England’, the Phoenix Gallery is the exhibition space for the Phoenix Arts Association, a charitable arts organisation providing studio space for and run by artists. Featuring both international and local art, this gallery is an electric hub of talent and exploration with experimental exhibitions and stimulating artworks; this reputation for pushing boundaries is the reason it has become the venue for large-scale exhibitions such as the Brighton Photo Fringe and The White Nights installations. Open Tuesday until Saturday during exhibitions and a stone’s throw away from the nearest bus station, make time for a visit to this kooky gallery."
