Best Vegetarian and Vegan Restaurants in Barcelona
"Restaurants Haute cuisine El Raval. At this healthy hotspot, you can find raw foods, vegan options and gluten-free dishes along with ‘flexitarian’ creations containing lots of veggies and small amounts of animal protein. The menu also boasts cold pressed juices from fresh fruits and vegetables."
"Initially dedicated to the production and distribution of organic products in Catalonia, in 2007 the owners of Vegetalia decided to open two restaurants (now there are three) that have become a reference for vegetarians in Barcelona. In Vegetalia they use their own organic products and transform them into tasty and imaginative dishes adapted to the vegetarian, vegan and celiac public, among which stand out the nuggets of tofu and shiitake mushrooms, lasagna de seitan, tempeh and spinach, veggie burgers, pizzas and irresistible desserts."
"Vegetalia started out supplying organic vegetables to Barcelona’s restaurants and greengrocers. In 2007 they opened their first vegetarian restaurant. This was followed by an organic farm in Castellcir and two more restaurants in Barcelona’s Gothic quarter and El Born."
"Sweet-toothed diners can try the restaurant’s infamous vegan carrot cake. There’s also the added satisfaction of knowing that the bulk of vegetables that appear on your plate come from the restaurant’s very own local urban eco garden."
"Billed as the vegetarian restaurant that is “veggie for non-veggies,” the Green Spot does indeed manage to please vegetarians and carnivores alike—ideal if you’ve tucked into a few too many plates of fried croquettes and calamari while in town. The menu showcases hearty comfort foods, like fried cauliflower with mint and tamarind sauce and four-cheese pizza with zucchini flowers, but also lighter, healthier options, like grilled vegetable salads. If you have a beard or a full tattoo sleeve, you’ll fit right in with the young, trendy, beach-bound crowd."
"Hours: Mon – Sunday Lunch: from 1pm to 4pm “Merienda”: from 4pm to 8pm Dinner: from 8pm to 12am Fri & Sat: Drinks until 2am Tues &Thurs: Live musicAddress: C. de la Reina Cristina 12 08003 BarcelonaWebsite: https://www.encompaniadelobos.com/en/the-green-spot/. For an elegant and unforgettable experience,The Green Spot fits the bill to a T!"
"A Barcelona food blog which I follow once described The Green Spot as being a vegetarian restaurant aimed at non-vegetarians. The idea behind the comment, I assume, being that people would eat here out of choice rather than necessity. As a long-term vegetarian, I guess I can understand where the writer was coming from."
"An Indian restaurant with a great selection of curries, including a wide range of vegetarian options. Good value, good food, and good service. Good value and all meals are available to take away if you prefer."
"‘Eat good, feel good’ is the tagline of the La Vietnamita restaurant group which boasts three sites across Barcelona. More of a pell-mell of your favourite Asian foods rather than strictly Vietnamese – there’s a ceviche and bun bao burger on the menu too – everything is made using fresh ingredients for maximum flavour."
"If you are looking for something different to eat but your little one showing tantrums demanding soupy noodles, La Vietnamita is your place. Savor the yummy yucca fries with edamame to ease cravings while your kids enjoy a big bowl of spicy noodles."
"Roots & Rolls is a vegan restaurant focused on a fusion of Asian/Japanese cuisine and the infinite world of veggies and spices. Plant-based sushi is the signature product. The menu also features delicious salads, coconut milk curry and Japanese Miso Ramen."
"You know a place serves good brunch when it had “avocado” in the name—And this is definitely the case at Avocado BCN!. You’ll find them at their two locations, one in Parallel area, and a newer restaurant in Eixample, near Universitat. Some of my absolute favorites at Avoca BCN are their smoothies and their “boxes” combining some of the most delicious ingredients (and lots of avocado, of course) in a convenient box."
"Perched atop of Tibidabo Mountain you’ll find find much more than just monumental views of the city. You’ll also find the impressive Temple Expiatori del Sagrat Cor, an awe-inspiring neo-Gothic church surrounded by a Romanesque fortress of stone. The church is the work of the Spanish architect Enric Sagnier and was completed by his son Josep Maria Sagnier I Vidal in 1961, after 59 years of construction."
"Tibidabo should be your first stop if you’re a first time visitor to Barcelona. The breathtaking views from Tibidabo are simply spectacular!. You can see the entire city of Barcelona, in all its glory, right below you."
"Esglesia de Betlem—Catalan for Betlem Church or the Church Of Bethlehem—features an impressive portal that occupies a corner of Las Ramblas and Carrer Hospital. The chapel was constructed between the 17th or 18th centuries on the site of a previous chapel that was lost in a fire. It's one of the city's most outstanding examples of Baroque architecture (a style that's rare for Barcelona), although it's rather small and primitive."
"Santa Maria del Pi is the 14th-century Catalan Gothic church that replaced a former 10th-century Romanesque church on the very same site—on the Plaça del Pi in Barcelona's Gothic Quarter. It is marked by a single pine (a tribute to its name, pi) in the square outside. On weekends, that square fills up with artist tables, the colossal facade of the church towering behind them."
"If you’re walking through the Gothic Quarter and hear the sound of church bells ringing, that might be the Basílica of Santa Maria del Pi which is located in between the Plaça del Pi and Plaça Sant Josep Oriol. The church was built between 1319 and 1391 in the Catalan Gothic style. Its cross-vaulted ceiling is the highest in the country."
"Another great example of Gothic architecture with a wonderful rose window. The 15th-century massive bell tower can easily be seen from La Rambla and is one of its most streaking features. FREE OPENING TIMES: Monday to Sunday: 9.30 am to 10 am & 6 pm to 8.30 pm.Other times: €4"
"Founded in 1903, Can Solé is considered by many to be THE place for paella in Barcelona– which isn’t actually paella at all (that’s from the Valencia region) but an arroz (rice dish). This restaurant is special for me because it’s where we had our only good meal back in 2007– and I still remember the first time I tasted this type of food!. It’s a bit pricey, but you’re guaranteed quality and ambiance."
"Originally a shop selling sundries and soaps at the turn of the 20th century, Can Solé was converted into a restaurant in 1903 and has been satisfying lovers of local seafood and rice ever since. Enjoy a classic seafood paella or the Catalan favorite arròs caldós (brothy rice) with your choice of shrimp, sea urchin, mussels, lobster, or more."
"A Barcelona classic, you can feel the history and authenticity from the moment you walk into the restaurant. Situated in Barceloneta, this sea side locale features a range of delicious seafood and Catalan dishes. This is an excellent fusion of Mediterranean, Marine and Catalan cuisine, set in a traditional yet unassuming atmosphere."
"Specializing in custom cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more if you want a personal cake or dessert for any occasion, including weddings, then Pink Cakes BNC Bakery is the place you want to order from!. No matter how creative or simple you want to go for your edible masterpiece, their professionals can take care of you. Having a hard time thinking of the perfect cake?"
