"Meet farm animals both large and small at Pennywell, including the ridiculously cute micro pigs. You simply must give them a cuddle if you visit. If you visit at Easter there’s hands-on lamb and kid goat feeding."
"If you’re looking for picturesque old cottages, craft studios and countryside walks, then you’ve come to the right place. Cockington is an award winning country park, with a Grade II listed manor house, tea rooms and an art gallery. You’ll come across quite a few thatched cottages like this one – Cockington is one of the most densely thatched villages in England."
"Not so much a pub, more a museum with beer," is how its owners describe the Bridge. It has been in landlady Caroline Cheffers-Heard's family since 1897, and, in many ways, little has changed over time. Beer is still gravity-dispensed from the barrel (from £2.80), mobile phones are discouraged ("The Bridge is a place of conversation between people and not machines", reads a sign) and its rooms are decorated with the sort of antique bric-a-brac - grandfather clocks, mounted butterflies, rifles, tattered union flag bunting – that might have once cluttered up a Victorian gentlemen's club."
"has been run by the same family since 1897, offering a service that has changed little since then. This makes the Bridge Inn a refreshing change from the droves of identikit chain pubs that surround it in Britain. Serving lunchtime food only, they offer a selection of authentic British pub fare with their immensely popular ever-changing cask ales."
"St Pancras' immense 40m tower has seen it dubbed the Cathedral of the Moor. Inside, search out the boards telling the fire-and-brimstone tale of the violent storm of 1638 – it knocked a pinnacle from the roof,..."
"14 Century Award Winning Country Pub on the doorstep of Torbay, serving great beer and fantastic food. Beautiful Beer Garden. Village road, Marldon, TQ3 1SL"
"This coastal retreat is backed by ruddy cliffs, lush green vegetation and the sapphire water of Babbacombe Beach, all of which help guests feel more like a visitor on a Bond-style island than a plush spa hotel. In keeping with a beachfront pile surrounded by nature’s bounty, Cary Arms is circled by the South West Coast path, and the wild Dartmoor is only a half hour’s drive. With sea views in each of the eight main residence’s New Englander style rooms, you needn’t worry about which you book – instead, concern yourself with trying to spot the local dolphin, porpoise and seal population."

"The South Devon coast stretches out in front of the Imperial Hotel Torquay, a mid-century-style building that belies its history as a hangout for well-heeled Victorians. This heritage is celebrated in the form of marble floors, towering four-poster beds and gilded chandeliers, while its clifftop position offers unspoilt views of the bay – best enjoyed from the comfort of the front-facing rooms or the ornately decorated Regatta Restaurant’s outdoor terrace. The outdoor pool, which is shrouded by European black pine trees, feels like the South of France – when the weather plays ball."
"This four-star hotel is located on a cliffside in Torquay, a few meters away from the town’s center, the beach, and some sites such as Torre Abbey and English Riviera Centre. Although the hotel’s architecture is a preserved beautiful 19th-century design, the place doesn’t feel old at all. It’s been modernized for a more cozy feel and the rooms are more spacious."
" Torquay’s harbour and marina provide the backdrop, and wonderful views add to the pleasure of dining at the evenings-only Regatta Restaurant, wh ..."
"The 4 star, Grand Hotel occupies pride of place on the Torbay seafront, commanding majestic views over the bay and out to sea. Since being purchased by the Richardson Group in 2001, it has undergone a sympathetic restoration that has exposed its magnificent Victorian and Art Deco architectural characteristics. Whatever the weather, the comfort and luxury of the Grand has something to offer everyone."
"Located in the heart of the town, The Grand Hotel is a four-star hotel with beautiful views of the sea. The hotel is designed in a fancy English way and almost resembles a castle or a big mansion. There are two pools on-site, one indoor and one outdoor, that face the glistening sea."
"04/06/2021: Visited twice during a recent stay to Torquay as the hotel was nearby. Thought the service was excellent given how busy the place was and the food was good.Outside tables were good as you could choose just to have a drink but inside recommend booking in busy periods. Will defo return to this place !. 02/06/2021: Food was fantastic and the service was very friendly!"
"Also owners of the Bianco's Italian Restaurant, the Pettinelli family pride themselves in giving you the finest Italian meal coupled with a great atmosphere."
"01/06/2021: Read a lot about this place so turned up on a Tuesday at 8am and we were the first inside.Really friendly chap guided us through what the process was and showed us to our table.A couple of hiccups with a non functioning toaster and a tripped ice cream machine, both fixed and the chap was super apologetic (it happens!)Cooked breakfast was really tasty, my 7 year old had the waffles and it was all really good!"
